Solving Quadratic Equations using Quadratic Formula

   If  $a{x}^2+bx+c$ = 0, then $x$ =  $\frac{\mathrm{-b}\pm \sqrt{b^2-\mathrm{4ac}}}{\mathrm{2a}}$

So, if  $7x^2-33x+26$ = 0, then

     $x$ =  $\frac{-(-33)\pm \sqrt{{(\mathrm{-33})}^2-(4)(7)(26)}}{(2)(7)}$

or, $x$ =  $\frac{\mathrm{33}\pm \sqrt{1089-728}}{\mathrm{14}}$

or, $x$ =  $\frac{\mathrm{33}\pm \sqrt{361}}{\mathrm{14}}$

or, $x$ =  $\frac{\mathrm{33}\pm 19}{\mathrm{14}}$

or,  $x$ =  $\frac{52}{14}$ or,  $x$ =  $\frac{14}{14}$

or,  $x$ =  $\frac{26}{7}$ or,  $x$ =  $1$
